Pet(s): A rhodesian ridgeback named Fin, wired haired Dachshund named Franklin and a mix named Annie.
Dr. Mark is a 1998 graduate Of North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at St. Lawrence University. Drs. Mark and Sarah opened Birkdale Animal Hospital in 2005. Their vision was to have a hospital where customer service, compassion, and great medicine all came in the same package. They are firm believers in offering their clients all the options available. The cost of treatment is only one factor that should be addressed for animal health. They believe, to make animals live longer, happier lives you need yearly bloodwork, a physical, and owner involvement. Dr. Mark’s interests lie in dentistry and surgery. Dr. Mark is involved with helping many rescue groups. He believes that giving back to the community is part of doing business in a small town. We enjoy sponsoring local events for both pets and people. Dr. Mark is a hockey fan and in his spare time tries to keep up with his wife in many different endurance sports. Drs. Mark and Sarah have three children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and every other pocket pet the kids can convince them they NEED.
